About Us

American Association of Occupational Safety an Heealth (AAOSH) is an independent professional association with international membership and regional chapters worldwide.

We set standards, support, develop and connect our members with resources, guidance, events and training programmes. The Association fosters collaboration, research and information sharing on Occupational safety principles and advocates for changes to match national, regional and global policies to improve Occupational Safety and Health in workplaces.

For more than 6 years, we have supported occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals in their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities. We provide education, advocacy, standards development and a professional community to our members in order to advance their careers and the OSH profession as a whole.

Traditional approaches are often reactive –that is, problems are addressed only after a worker is injured or becomes sick, a new standard or regulation is published, or an outside inspection finds a problem that must be fixed.
